Tub chairs are said to have originated in 18th Century France under the reign of King Louis XV, named for their enveloping ‘bathtub’ like appearance. Our classic reinterpretation of the tub chair is comfort incarnate; its petite size offers a compact option that will hug you in its curving roll arms. The frame is a continuous upholstered piece made using birch wood, with a removable seat cushion all sitting on fun, circular ball feet. Piping on the chair’s edges, in matching fabric, adds a traditional feel to the design. The Ambrose can be customised to fit all kinds of spaces, choose from a wide range of plain and patterned fabrics, colour and leg finish options.
